I had a non submersible pump with a hose that lead to a small strainer. It had a hose clamp, not tape. If I can find the strainer you are welcome to it Joel 35/3 Annapolis.

Better yet, does someone have a system that they would recommend. I was thinking of adding a plastic bilge strainer.
