This is what the back seat is for. I am known to take all the cushions from
my C&C 24 home for the winter in my convertible (with the roof down, of
course (otherwise they would not fit)). You can take a double bass with you,
if you really want to.

There never seems to be enough room to get a guitar and amp in the trunk of
a hard top convertible with the top down. Just enough room for a spare set
of false teeth. No room for bags of sails either.
