A Laser 28 did the 360 nm Marblehead to Halifax race a couple of times. The 
interior of the boat looked like a washing machine gone wrong when they 
arrived. They said they had a good time, although one of the crew kissed the 
dock when they arrived.

I crewed on a Laser 28 many years ago.  The owner moved up from a Catalina 27.  
The Laser was more like a large dinghy.  Fast but tender.  Upwind you had to 
play the mainsheet more than the traveler to allow the main to twist.
