Michael,
Aluminum alloy winches are subject to metal failure. So far I have lost 3
teeth on the drums of each of my Barlow 28 primaries. I had one of the 28's
repaired by a machine shop. I'm using a spare Barient 28 drum on the other
Barlow right now. Someday I'll get it repaired.
I also have a Barient 26 with a wallowed out pawl pocket. You can get a
machine shop to fill then mill the pawl pocket on your 25.
I have bought/sold winches on eBay with success. You just missed a pair of
25's.

Try to search using Google. I just found and bought a nice pair of chrome
bronze Barlow 28's on Craigslist. Google picked them up.
