rule seems to make a product which lasts the longest......where as sherwood does not last very long......jabsco seems to depend on which model pump...have been replacing pumps last 40 years &thats my experience.....i would think how often the float switch activates has a lot to do with it....as to float switches RULE wins hands down...they seldom jam &do not stick in the on position ...which in some cases have caused pumps to burn out.....one even burned out ..discount brand...and started a fire which we managed to extinguish..was good we were nearby....just shows you get what you pay for or at least sometimes....cheap marine items vs quality is a fools paradise...
