Dave, Sta Set is not considered a performance rope. I'd look at VPC for halyards. Lower stretch without breaking the bank. You could go with Dyneema and covers for clutches if you want high-tech, but it will probably cost you a lot of $$ per pound. There is no reason to buy new shackles.
