I have a 1972 C&C 30 that has internal spin halyards. They enter the mast about 6' above deck then exit about 1' below the mast head then go through blocks hung from a spinnaker crane mounted to the top of the masthead unit. This allows the halyards to be above and in front of the jib stay when under load.
