This Boat is new to me "well" this is the start of my 3rd season. I
was out Sunday with 11 to 17 knots out of the west and all I can say
is Wow!! this C&C will fly, and the faster the wind the better she
handles. I have a great respect for this boat, now. Were I live,
"Hilton Head South Carolina", we usely have light winds "3 to 5 knots'
out of the south. This last weekend the winds were stright abeam from
the west and in the mid to upper teens. Just a little adjusting on the
traveler and she sailed right in a slot at 7 to 10° heel. I almost was
able to turn lose. We just had her put back in the water last week of
Friday. So, needless to say she was very clean on the bottom and
slipped thru the water like a knife.
I was going to go offshore last week for the first time buy my
self, but the weather was too crappy for that. and the boat yard was
not done with the chors It cost a lot of money. I had to replace the
thru-hull poop out valve. and replaced one backing plate. had all of
them lubebercated. I had the standard 2 coat bottom paint.
Wow what a great boat. The C&C 30 MK1 is a fine boat..

Thanks
Curtis.
