Plexiglas is a brand name while cast acrylic is a generic product name. There are other trade names for acrylic sheet owned by other companies.
I feel for you guys that still have to rebed your windows with Plexus. I did it way too many times and then redesigned my windows and it has been over 10 years without a leak!
