Bill, Holy crap, I never thought of that. My boat came with a latch and lock on the propane locker.
Here I am spouting off at the gizzard thinking I'm doing the right thing. Assuming you are correct, and it seems like you may be, I guess I have to remove that latch and think of a new way to remind myself to shut off the valve. Surveyor never noticed either. Thanks, Rob
