I still have lessons to learn on how to deal with short chop upwind, but I think that's me, not the boat. I have had core issues in both the deck (outboard and astern of the chain plates) and hull (subsequently repaired at considerable effort and expense); moisture could be the determining factor in any purchase, so it may be worth a mini-survey before determining whether to proceed with a full one. It is quite seaworthy as Ihave taken it on ocean trips to as far as Marblehead , Mass, from the south shore of Long Island N Y. She goes very well to windward even with the board up thanks to a good sized shoal keel and inboard shrouds.Draft on this model is 4ft 2 in. Hull is cored except for thru hull areas. No delam issues, deck or hull.Boat came with spin gear but I don't think there were any differences in rig. Boat is a pleasure to sail especially to windward, although she tends to need a reef over 18 app. Idont know your sailing venue but I think you would love this boat . Good luck and happy sailing!! This boat “Freya" is for sale. She is a centerboard model. Can anyone advise on: Suitability of 4’6” draft for Intracoastal/ Bahamas? Does the boat go to windward well with a board? Does anyone race the CB version? Weaknesses? Is the hull cored or solid? I hear decks of this era are cored and have delam issues. Suitability of this model for coastal use maybe Bahamas/ Nova Scotia/ Central America? Not ocean. Any variations of this model? For example were there tall VS short rig options etc. Many thanks, David Dawes. _______________________________________________ This List is provided by the C&C Photo Album Email address: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> To change your list preferences, including unsubscribing -- go bottom of page at: http://cnc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/cnc-list_cnc-list.com _______________________________________________ This List is provided by the C&C Photo Album Email address: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> To change your list preferences, including unsubscribing -- go bottom of page at: http://cnc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/cnc-list_cnc-list.com _____ _______________________________________________ This List is provided by the C&C Photo Album Email address: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> To change your list preferences, including unsubscribing -- go bottom of page at: http://cnc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/cnc-list_cnc-list.com _____ <http://www.avast.com/> This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
