All is good and fine to do for winterizing following the list.

One thing very important is not to use alcohol RV antifreeze, the type you buy
at home depot or Canadian tire or Walmart.

It ruins the hoses. You need to use glycol based marine antifreeze. I use the
one made by or for mercury. It is plumbing antifreeze

Not cooling system antifreeze but safe for plastics rubbers and the rest.

Also it will be good for your engine to use fogging oil or storage seal spray.
If it is gas engine use the blue Sta-Bil in the fuel and it is ok. If diesel

Engine remove the air filter and while the engine is running restrict the
intake air with the palm of your hand and spray through and then kill the
engine. A bit smoky but will protect cylinders , valves and rings from rust.
And yes diesel when is left on raw steel or iron it creates surface rust and
pitting.

TURBO!!!!!cause bottles are for babies and superchargers blow!!!

Which would you rather have, go fast goodies or shiny shoes?

Your feet may look good but if your engine blows you ain't going nowhere

West Marine’s is great, but it is so long that by the time you finish, you may
have to start de-winterizing (;-). I use a much shorter one:

- change oil

- change oil filter

- change (check?) fuel filters

- change transmission oil

- clean and drain the strainer on the fresh water cooling intake

- drain the fresh water side of the cooling system and replace with RV
antifreeze (EG or PG?) paying extra attention to the Aqua-Lift muffler

- drain fresh water tank

- drain water heater

- prep all hoses in the fresh water system for winter (either blow them with
air pressure or put antifreeze in (or both)).

- pump out the holding tank

- pump antifreeze through the head

- stabilise fuel in the fuel tank (add stabiliser and potentially some
antibacterial agent)

- pump antifreeze through the bilge pump (pumps)

Potentially:

- replacing the impeller in the cooling system

- replacing the alternator/water pump belt

- removing the joker valve in the head

Anybody ever create a checklist for winterizing? Can you share?
