I won't miss the teak maintenance but I may miss the traction.  I've
already started planning to wrap them with some sort of lacing.

Hatch covers were custom made by Pam Paterson at Patuxent Canvas.  They are
thermal lined and have a mylar blackout material.  They keep the heat down
significantly during the summer.  As for the winter...it is still pretty
cold.  I probably should have attempted to make them myself just for the
experience.
