Thanks for all of the responses - I've been out of town for the past couple
of days. I did look at both 35 Mkiii on Friday. The boat in Seattle does
indeed have a tiller that appears to be original, based on the look of it
and the engine control location.

The boat in Everett seems to be in better condition. Both have mast step
issues and both were wet there. Hull to deck joints had been fairly
recently caulked on both so probably there had been (is?) some leaking
there, and the portlights had obviously been leaking. A quick walk-around
didn't reveal any major deck issues aside from the joint.

This is my first time looking at the C&C 35 Mkiii, cabin and I'm still on
the fence. It wasn't love at first sight, to be honest but I can see the
potential, and all of the feedback has been that these are great sailing
boats. The ladder up to the companionway opening is very steep - I suspect
my wife would not be real happy with that.

I appreciate all of the help and feedback from the list. If I decide to
pursue one of these, I'll be back.

Thanks again,

Dave

Thanks,
