Hi Dwight,

We did some damage over the years. On the J24, I was a fanatic, kept a
log... tuned every week/regatta for conditions, all that stuff. Same on
the J30, but with this boat, I'm looking at some pieces I'm not used to and
figuring it out as I go. Having a baseline is what I was looking for. So I
borrowed a couple big bodies and went up the rig to check thing s out for
myself.
Seems like 1000/1000 on the D1/V1 was a decent start. The D2 is just
barely registering on the gauge, and the V2 is loaded by the V1, with no
adjustment available.
I went sailing yesterday and today (though it was blowing hard today) and
made some adjustments - 1300/1200 and it felt pretty good. Lee shrouds
soft, but not slack until it really kicked up.
Still experimenting, and expecting a new 135% in a few weeks, so I'll be
starting all over again, I suppose.

Thanks for the input from the listers. Every bit helps. After retiring
from racing for a decade +, I'm thinking I'm ready to go back at it, but at
a different pace than before... guess that comes with age.

Best to all,
Chuck B
