I've straightened lifeline stanchions by placing a short lengh of 1/2" or 3/4" pipe in a vise. I then put the stanchion over that pipe and gently bend it straight. The little support tubes are easier and I think I placed them between two wood scraps in a vise and bent them straight using a short length of PVC pipe over one end. Good luck.

The stanchion was not damaged, the stainless steel support was bent and I am trying to figure out if I should try bending it back or replace it. The tube is 2' long, 1/2" outside diamater, and 3/8" inside diamater. Also, the cast aluminum bracket that holds the stanchion to the toe rail is cracked. Any suggestions where either piece can be located ?
