Hi Al,
This may be a bit late , but a few years I replaced all my interior cushions
(actually 10 years ago) .
I took photos of every cushion on the boat and put them in a word document
along with the measurements for each cushion .
I sent the document to every upholsterer I could find with an e-mail address,
marine automotive, furniture etc.
Got a response from a upholsterer specializing restaurant furniture (?) he was
thousands less than any marine outfit. The upholsterer also had good prices on
Ultraleather (and a few competitor products)
They suggested I use mesh on the backs of cushions (like on outdoor lawn
furniture) to save some money and allow better breathing , they still look
great.
The interesting thing for you Toronto area readers , the guy is in Kitchener
... a few blocks from where I was living.

Subject: Stus-List Interior Cushions

I have a 1981 C & C '34 with original cushions. I recently got an estimate from
a local marine canvas shop for replacement of all the fabric (retaining the
original foam) using the lowest cost sunbrella material. I was surprised to see
it was over $4000 for the job, and over $6000 to replace the foam as well.

I would appreciate any suggestions for alternative ways to go on upgrading the
interior upholstery.

Thanks in advance.
