To repeat what I think Josh said, Lewmar changed the design of the seals a few years back.
I replaced the seal in a Lewmar port in an older Beneteau a couple years ago and encounters this. I recall ordering the seal from one of the hatch repair sites, not Lewmar. Can't recall if it was Select Plactics, Mustang, hatchrepair.com, etc. I do recall that the website had info on the two versions of the seal. I did have difficulty in pushing the ridge on the seal into the groove in the port. I used soapy water and a wooden pusher to push short sections of the seal ridge in. Took a while. Dennis C.
