First, what makes you think that you have the wrong prop? RPM too high? Black smoke at full throttle?
I have a Max-Prop and while not a "perfect prop" in all regards I do like that I can adjust the pitch. It is just as powerful and efficient in forward as in reverse. And the engineering is top notch. PYI has quality customer service too. Here's a link to one that might still be for sale. https://m.facebook.com/groups/575680375901638?view=permalink&id=840032242799782 Josh Muckley S/V Sea Hawk 1989 C&C 37+ Solomons, MD On Oct 26, 2016 7:41 AM, "Gary Russell via CnC-List" <[email protected]> wrote: I have determined that the Flexofold prop on my (new to me) boat has the wrong pitch. Discussions with Flexofold determined that the proper prop would be a 16" dia with an 11" pitch. What I have is a 14" pitch. Flexofold say I need to replace the blades for $1K. Are their any other options? Can a prop shop do anything? If so, can anyone recommend a good one?
