Charlie,

The southern part of the Bay may be a bit sparse for convenient places to go.
Pretty industrial around Norfolk/Hampton/Newport News.

If you do find a boat to charter out of Deltaville, that section of the Bay
offers some nice creeks, towns and anchorages on the Western Shore side that
are easy sails from Deltaville. A nice overnight trip from there would be to go
across the Bay to the Eastern Shore town of Onancock. Lovely protected
anchorage and some nice restaurants in a quaint little town.

Northwards is Reedville where we live. If you decide to come this way feel free
to use our dock. I’m 99.99% certain that it will be empty next summer. I’ll
show you around the town and treat you and crew to some steamed Blue Crabs…

Best,
Dave Godwin
