My 42 (circa 1976) has a binnacle-mounted Danforth Constellation compass on an
Edson pedestal. It was in bad shape when I bought the boat, so I had it
reconditioned at Viking.

Looks and works like new.

Chances are good that if you've got an Edson pedestal, it’s a Ritchie, probably
an SP5 Globemaster:

Does anyone know the brand and model of compass that would have been
installed in the pedestal of a 1971 C&c35? Just recently bought the boat and
the compass is missing. Next question is where would be the best place to get
one?
