For what it is worth, As a first boat I owned a 13' FJ dinghy that taught me nothing about sailing a 4000lb keelboat. Both that boat and my Laser made me realize that I like to sail and like to swim, just not at the same time. Our 25mk1 allowed us overnight accommodations for a young family and served as a stable and fun performing boat which we owned for 14 years before trading up to our current Landfall 35.
