According to C&C brochures that came with Grenadine, the C&C 30 MK I base price as at September 13, 1976 was $27,200. As at September 1, 1977 it had increased to $30,450.
I don’t have information on how much her first owner paid for her in 1972. I’d guess ~$20,000 if the base price tracked with inflation. That’s ~$120,000 in today’s dollars. And I bought the boat (and its trailer) for $16,500 two years ago. Poor thing obviously depreciated a lot.
