Since 2016, Red Sky a 1976 C&C 24 has been an exceptionally fun sailing yacht for its me. I am interested in moving up to a C&C 30 MKII after over two+ years of successful racing. Red Sky was acquired in 2016 from a friend moving out of state. I did many updates and maintenance items since 2016 and have raced Red Sky to a number of podium finishes in races sponsored by the Herring Bay Sailing Association (HHSA), Annapolis Yacht Club (AYC), and Eastport Yacht Club (EYC) and others. The Chesapeake PHRF rating is 234. There is also a Chesapeake Racing Cruising Association (CRCA) Offshore Racing Rule (ORRez) rating. Marine survey was done in 2018. Red Sky races exceptionally well double handed and is easy to sail single handed. In addition to racing, Red Sky is exceptionally fun to day sail and cruise overnight. I have done many outings with family and friends around Herring Bay, West River, and around the middle Chesapeake Bay. This would be a great boat for anyone new to sailing, upgrading, or returning to sailing. It has quick controls and takes light, medium or big water and wind with ease. The updated controls make it easy to single or doublehand and provide the ultimate set of controls and trim of sails.
