Most of you probably know this but for those who have not experienced night mode, it can be confusing. The areas that are light/bright become dark and vise versa. This could make navigation confusing if one is unaware of the change or not accustomed to it. In well marked channels one is looking for aids to navigation and “stayin in the dotted lines“ (so to speak). In areas of large shallows, with few or no no aids to nav, following lines of demarcation with reversed colored/shaded areas could be dangerous until one gets used to it.
