Hi Sydney There are lots of options for bosuns chairs to get you up a mast as well as the climbing options. However it is November and the season is over for most of us. This may be an excellent time to take the mast down and inspect everything else at the same time. It is also much easier to work on the mast when it is horizontal at your level. You will likely have to fish cable through the mast at the same time so working aloft would be a lot of work for this project.

Looking for advice on how to accomplish this. I have a 1980 c&c 24ft sailboat. Is there a weight limit to climb the mast? What kind climbing gear to use?
