Bill, Rob - I hear you. When I first bought Touche' I wire brushed and sanded parts of the pedestal then painted those areas with white Rustoleum (or Krylon). That has held up well for many years. Your comments, combined with Chuck's info on the shaft removal is "steering" me towards painting it again. Sounds like the safer route. It's certainly the easier route. The pedestal stays under a Sunbrella cover when not in use so the paint should hold up well. Dennis C. Touche' 35-1 #83 Mandeville, LA
