Wow! Those three screwsat the bottom of the mast hold something. Maybe a plug 
or maybe some component bolted through the mast step? If you don't get a better 
answer, I'd remove them before the crane starts pulling the mast. Once the mast 
is up a bit, you'll see what's involved there and know better for future. I 
think I would remove all the screws in that area, five each side.

Offshore racing rules require the mast be bolted to the step, but one long bolt 
is usually used for that. Please send more pictures when she's lifted up.
