Bill, if none of the Chuck’s items apply, I’d milk in additional core to bulk up the line rather than add cover. I did that on my boat and it helps. I’m using 3/8” endura braid for my halyards and have spin lock rope clutches. Also some of the less expensive rope clutches do not hold as well as the more expensive of the same brand.
