Is this a new occurrence?  Did you check the area around the fluxgate for
metal and wires?

I take it the fluxgate has been installed a while?  If it was a new install
I'd say check the orientation of the fluxgate.  Do you have a control
instrument where you can adjust the compass, i'e. add/subtract 135?

Interesting issue.
