Hi Daniel
Secret Plans lives at the Waeg in the summer, she's on the outer edge of
the mooring field and is white with the big blue stripe - pretty
distinctive. She is at BBYC for the winters, although a logical man
would move her to AYC... Hmm...

I have kept her name. It isn’t linked to us so we don’t love it but
nor do we dislike it enough to bother. I too am curious where you guys
in Halifax keep your boats. Santiago is at AYC.

I had to remove the PO's name on the transom as well....it was also
painted on....it took a few hours....I used a 3M rubbing compound on
a rotating polisher....before I started, I taped all the surrounding
gelcoat and inside the lettering so as not to take off that gelcoat,
just the painted lettering. It worked out fine.
Just curious, where do you keep your boat in Halifax?

Going to rename my new-to-me C&C34. Previous owner had a very
talented sign painter hand letter the name and port on the stern.
Beautiful work, just no connection for me… it's probably epoxy paint
and likely 10-20 years ago, but no chipping or fading. I've tried
easy-off oven cleaner, which was recommended, as well as a good
fibreglass-safe paint stripper...neither did a damn thing even after
15-20 minutes of time. What would be my next options (once the
weather gets better/warmer)? I've got very nice kiss-cut vinyl
decals for the new name (and I'll follow all the prescribed customs
for renaming). Any thoughts folks?
