It's possible the hailing port is the owner's home and he kept the boat 
somewhere else.  Boaters from this area commute to Chesapeake Bay, which is a 
two to three hour commute.  New Jersey has other sailing areas but they would 
not be any better than sailing out of Ocean City if he lived there.  I know of 
owners who never changed the hailing port after they bought their boat, so it 
can become meaningless.

I did a few google searches but never found anything that matched a C&C 40 and 
that name.  Sorry.
