IMO — There are not many TVs and DVD players that can really hold up to marine
weather unless you are running dehumidifiers all the time. Also, those digital
antennas will get you some stations, but not a whole lot.
Suggest you look into an iPad or other big tablet — there are mounts galore on
Amazon for mounting in the cabin, you can watch or stream movies off the
internet, and you’ll have another device for navigation, internet, and, in some
cases, a repeater/control for your marine electronics.
We use my iPad air to watch movies and TV (My cable service at home comes with
free streaming so I can watch anything on the iPad that I can at home,
including off the home DVR) and I put magnetic mounts in the main saloon and in
the aft cabin over the bed.
On our last cruise, we had a beautiful night, sat out in the cockpit and
watched (big surprise) 2009’s "Star Trek”.
