Bo - I Just looked more closely at the pic and as others have inferred I think it would be extremely unlikely that the rudder is intact inside. Looks like rust stains at the bottom of the nearly full length crack. Fwiw, I wouldn’t be comfortable simply patching it it if it were mine. Another poster described the reconstructive surgery well.
