I got new sails from John Jenkins Sails in Maryland last year. I intend to keep Masquerade for a long time so I went with the best cloth I could get, which I determined was GPL Lite Skin. I mostly cruise, but occasionally do a regatta like the Bermuda Race or Block Island Race week. Jenkins was the sailmaker for the US Naval Academy for years and has a great reputation in the Chesapeake area. I didn't want dacron sails as the shape isn't terribly stable and I knew that after 3 years of use I'd start to get upset with the draft moving aft. And my boat, like C&Cs, is a cruiser/racer so I want her to perform well, even if I'm just sailing over to Cuttyhunk with my wife on a Thursday afternoon. Jenkins can ship to Buffalo and I bet if you asked nicely, my son-in-law would bring the sails to TO for you on one of his excursions there.
