Our yacht club does a "Soup & Sail" on New Year's Day, every year. The club provides its members a light breakfast. Then we go out to be the first ones on the river (Columbia River). Everyone brings a can of clam chowder to the club, and members prepare lunch - soup, salad, bread and dessert. It's a great way to start the new year. Forecast is for light rain, but we won't be out more than an hour.
