If you are using starbrite pink it is rated for plastic water lines
(-50) it will freeze pretty solid at about -23,
but it doesn't expand much....they make -100 which would go to about
-35 before freezing. You should read the
fine print on the product you used. Plumber's antifreeze from the
hardware store also has variances,
so you need to watch what you pick up.
I use plumbers antifreeze on my boat, flush all the water lines with it
and engine etc. When I'm done,
I drain everything out so should it expand it has room to do so....or at
least that's my hope. Been doing it
that way for the last 26 years, fingers crossed this year will be no
different.
