Can I create /home/root2 then create a symbolic link from / to this? Or do I create a symbolic link in /usr/doc for example and move the files to the new location? I remember that when I first installed webalizer it had a terrible problem of eating up disk space, so I had to make some changes to that. The best way to find out where your free space is going, do this as root: du -x --max-depth=1 / You'll get output similar to: 12 /lost+found 5474 /etc 8638 /bin 1673 /boot 27048 /lib 3 /mnt 5195 /root 6230 /sbin 626658 /usr 80 /dev 2381 /share 14 /nsr 316 /man 89 /include 684495 / You'll want to look through there and figure out where the space is being used, so you might want to run (using the output from above as an example): du -x --max-depth=1 /usr Once you find out where your disk hog is, you can more easily fix it. For example, if java is the culprit, you can create a folder called /home/java and then make a link so that /usr/java -> /home/java then you'll have more space in /usr. I hope this helps, if not, the above information will make trouble shooting a lot easier.
