the best way is to use the infamous (& experimental) POP before SMTP PKG to
allow users to authenic their POP account then that IP will be able to use
the SMTP service for a limited time only (15min I think).

This means that you don't have to set up relays for [EMAIL PROTECTED] etc!

Subject: [cobalt-security] Newbie Relay Email

Hi,

We have a RAQ2 and we are using Sendmail 8.9.3. We
host several domains, like www.xyz.com xyz.net and so
on.
If our users connect to our system mail using an ISP,
how they can relay messages to aol.com or
yahoo.com????
Is there a way to our users authenticate for SMTP????
I read several information about this and if I don't
put in "Relay email from these hosts/domains" a domain
such yahoo.com relaying is denied when a user want to
send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] How can I solve
this problem?????

Thank you very much

ps: soory my English
