I'm no expert, but I have installed ipchains fomr the redhat rpm, then
installed pmfirewall from pmfirewall.com and used it to configure ipchains.
Pmfirewall closes off all the ports except those I need.
Install SSH and kill telnet, apply all the patches, and you should be
fairly. Until the next exploit.

Subject: [cobalt-security] [RaQ3i] Firewall Software
Hi,
This is my first posting to the list and I don't know if anyone here is
able to help me...
I have a RaQ3i appliance which I am trying to investigate using as a
firewall to protect 2 web servers which I will be putting up. I am
looking for suitable Firewall software that will work on this kit. I
keep finding references to Phoenix Adaptive Firewall, but all links seem
to lead to the Cobalt site where the trail goes cold! I have seen the
Velociraptor product on the site, and have looked at the Raptor product,
but again am looking for verification whether this will work on a RaQ3i.
If anyone could help it would be much appreciated - if only to tell me
I'm on a hiding to nowhere!
Many thanks,
Chris Windram
