you see, that's why I always let Portsentry fight back with an IPchains-rule. 
If the person who does the scan is blocked, then they'll get no false ideas 
about open ports. ;o)

And of course they have to look for an easier target as your server just 
dissapeared from their scope.

But make damn well sure that you never ever block localhost, your own IP 
addresses or the ones of your gateway. ;o)
