Check for CPU and/or RAM problems. If the fans are not operating, it could
be the Electrolytics for the CPU core and I/O voltages. Also we have seen
the switchng regulators for core and/or I/O voltage destroyed.

I doubt that is the ROM, since it did not fail through a 'bad' upgrade.
