The standard Sunon fans don't have any bearings so it's possible
that the noise implies yours may be failing. You might want to keep
a close eye on it because when my RaQ overheated, it trashed
my file system. This CPU temp monitoring script will email you at

My colo provider researched replacement fans for the Sunon
and couldn't find anything reasonably priced (nor with bearings)
which is why we opted for the add-on slot fan.
