I made a typo in my original post, what I meant to say is: "I do believe
this might just be a bad i386 iso, because I was able to import the x86_64
hardy and intrepid without issue."

I downloaded a fresh iso and was not able to replicate the issue.

# cobbler import --name="ubuntu-8.04.2-server-i386" --mirror=/mnt
--rsync-flags="--quiet"
- rsync -a '/mnt/' /var/www/cobbler/ks_mirror/ubuntu-8.04.2-server-i386
--exclude-from=/etc/cobbler/rsync.exclude --progress --quiet
./

Should I be concerned about this "warning: kernel option length exceeds
255", I get when I run cobbler sync as well?

# cobbler sync
warning: kernel option length exceeds 255
