Hi!

I'm trying some new (for me) things with cobbler and hit a problems -
that's why I don't exclude from the start operator errors. Anyway,
help would be appreciated.

I keep a mirror which gathers via rsync CentOS, EPEL and RPMForge and
also contains a local repository. The mirror is exported via NFS and
is supposed to be mounted on all clients (including the cobbler server
which is a separate machine) in the same directory (/mnt/upd).

I create a repo with:

#cobbler repo add --name=centos-5.2-i386
--mirror=file:///mnt/upd/centos/5.2/os/i386 --mirror-locally=0 --priority=1

then

#cobbler reposync
Traceback (most recent call last):
   File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/cobbler/action_reposync.py", line

     self.sync(repo)
   File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/cobbler/action_reposync.py", line

     return self.rsync_sync(repo)
   File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/cobbler/action_reposync.py", line

raise CX(_("rsync:// urls must be mirrored locally, yum cannot access them
directly"))
CX: 'rsync:// urls must be mirrored locally, yum cannot access them directly'
- reposync failed, tries left: 0
reposync failed, retry limit reached, aborting

Am I doing something stupid, is this a known limitation or should I
file a bug report ? This is with cobbler 1.4.1 and 1.4.3 from EPEL on
CentOS 5.
