PXE requires dhcp. Thus the initial /etc/resolv.conf may be configured via dhcp, even with static IPs. If you continue to you use dhcp, after the build is completed, than that is source of the issue. FYI: You can configure the dhcp-client not to setup the /etc/resolv.conf
