What you prefer is strongly *not* what I prefer. By doing that you are 
losing a lot of automation/tweakage potential.

You do not have to use the web interface, of course. Simple command line 
tweakage would be fine.

@@server@@ works in internal variables (sort of, it's an undocumented 
hack), all the more reason to create a real distro/profile.
