Cobird-ers -

As we left the house this morning around 7:30 to go to our exercise club we
heard a EUCD tooting as if he (?) was in an amorous mood.

I also saw a pair of ECDoves yesterday, just south and west of where

Rampart Range Road meets Waterton Road. South a ways of Chatfield.

I wouldn't go so far as to call them rare; they were quite common all

over the front range last spring and summer. Though I'm not sure how

many we should expect to see in winter (although since we're ankle-

deep in robins this year, nothing surprises me, especially in a

species that's expanding its range).
