The previously reported Trumpeter Swans seen last night were present at Lower Chuch Ranch Lake by dawn's early light today. They are best studied from the west side, where there is borderline parking, but can be glimpsed at highway speeds on Highway 36 eastbound, sticking out like 5 sore thumbs on this smallish lake.
