All,

The four adult and one immature Trumpeter Swans were still at
Lower Church Res in Jefferson County at 8:30 this morning.
I viewed them from the shopping center to the south, where
they are viewable in excellent light. Incidentally, there
was a pair of Cinnamon Teals at this lake last Sunday; as
Eric Z says, this is pretty early for them this far north.

Several of the unusual geese were also at Stearns Lake in
south Boulder Co this morning. Last sunday, there was a Snow
Goose, a Blue Goose, and three white headed geese that I
think are Ross's or Snow/Cackling or Canada hybrids. This
didn't include the immature Bill Schmoker photographed about
two weeks ago. These unusual geese have white heads, but
brown bodies, and the rump and tail pattern of Cackling or
Canada Geese. None of these geese look like the blue form of
Ross's Goose, which is supposedly rare, and I've never seen,

Cheers, Peter Gent.
